E is for Easter.

I love a good celebration! And Easter at my Gee's is quite possibly my favorite. Of course we have hunted eggs, dyed them, gone to see the scary (hence cams reaction) bunny, and pulled out all of our Easter books.

Cambell may be to small to comprehend the magnitude of the empty tomb, but I am not. I get a little overwhelmed when I think about Christ carrying my cross. To think about his undeserved suffering that led to his crucifixion all for me.  I am so thankful for his sacrifice.

Cambell's "buggin" Easter Basket. (I am definitely a theme basket giver!)

Please excuse the I love NY Tee.  I totally forgot her bunny pj's.

A bunny face cookie must have for breakfast.

We also took full advantage of the warm sunshine and threw a sprinkler into the mix! Cam was very unsure of cold water shooting into the air, but the big kids loved it! It sure was a fun weekend with family!

Hoping your Easter was as equally enjoyable!

Off to the zoo...

A last minute trip to the zoo included so much fun and wonderful weather.  It was a quick trip with lots of smiles!

Clapping for the Giraffes.

Cam loved the Alligators!

Fascinated by the Flamingos.

Cam's favorite of the day included the petting zoo portion.

And yes that is Brandon, totally committed to riding the carousel. He hopped up on the giraffe like a proud daddy, yet was told it was for "kids" only to ride and he had to stand beside. We laughed the entire way home :)

first year favorites.

We have had the ultimate week of being snowed in. Well, iced in really, but who cares?! A week of no school, no ball games, and nothing on the schedule but breakfast, lunch, and dinner together in OUR house! It is has really been the best of breaks.

With all this new found time at home, I have cleaned closest, rested quite a bit, and then cleaned a little more.  My cleaning venture lead me to Cambell's closet, and I must say I have to tread lightly when packing up her sweet clothes, shoes, and some toys she has outgrown.  I just can't help but tear up as a box it away because she is growing, and way to fast if I might add.

I just love her baby things and items that help us survive the first year! And these are must have items.

In no particular order :

1. Blooming Bath - this little gem is a bath time must have. This was perfect for the sink, and we used it in the tub to lay and sit on before she began to move around on her own. It is an infant must have and so much better than those awkward infant tubs.  Well worth $40. (Colors: yellow, pink, blue, & cream)

2. Littehipsqueaks organic cotton blanket. So soft and sweet and comes in a variety of colors. Stumbled upon this etsy shop and LOVE them. Cambell always naps with a blanket up around her face.

3. Paul Mitchell Baby Shampoo my sweet friend and very perfect gift giver (if I might add) Taylor included a bottle of baby heaven. Cambell never had cradle cap or lost any hair as an infant. This stuff smells wonderful and has lasted over an entire year!

4. Graco aspiratorNumerous screaming encounters lead us to this lifesaver. I started out with a suction bulb, but after reading an article about it trapping mold tossed it out and replaced it with this less tearful battery power snot genie!

5. Sound machine.  Perfect for naps and at night. I designated a sound for napping and sound for at night. I hit repeat long after Cambell is dreaming and just can't part with putting it away just yet.

Button Birthday

I can hardly believe im already recalling memories of Cambell's first year.  Oh how this life is just a breath. I want to delight and celebrate in every milestone.

Year one has been adventurous and oh, so fun!

I am thrilled of how our little button party turned out! I loved most that all of our families and friends helped us enjoy Cambell and her birthday!

I couldn't help but tear up as I look back through a year in pictures.  I also can't help but close my eyes and thank God for the blessing of parenting. It is a very special gift. One that dear friend said would be one the most challenging, yet rewarding things in life.

Currently Cambell is very into bath time, babies, books, blueberries, mickey mouse, and always smiling.

I am currently loving that Cambell loves snuggling with her momma, reading books, follows me everywhere, and lastly - she loves my cookin :)

Time flies when you're having fun!
