October Traditions

I love all things related to traditions. Especially when they involve my family.

I'm so grateful for my inlaws and our yearly fall break family vacation. It can be just a tad bit to much of "family togetherness" but there is something special about all piling up in one condo and sharing personal space. This year led us to the gulf, and the sunshine and sand did not disappoint.

Trading in our swim suits for scarves, we came right off of vacation into MSU homecoming and the fisher family reunion. There is nothing that a homecoming parade or big bowl of chili can't cure.

Waving to all the parade participants

Our church's annual Truck or Treat and a little Treat or Treating of our own!

Our KFC crew!

My most favorite however is sharing these traditions with Cam. Making memories and time together is by far a little piece of heaven the Lord lets us enjoy here on Earth. We have had a Happy Fall Y'all!

Momma's Day

I wouldn't feel right not recognizing my mom with a sweet and simple post on this particular day.

A day of happiness and sadness.

How I have missed my momma in life's biggest and smallest moments.  But what joy I have received from my bonus mom, Diana.

Oh how fast, yet slow seventeen years have gone.

Two things certain I know about momma, she loved her girls, and she loved life.  In the years since her passing and learning about who she was, I miss her more with each passing day. I strive for her unwavering faith.  What a testimony she left behind, one of courage and hope.  How she longed to be here on earth with her family, yet she knew in her final breath she would meet her Savior.  Although God only gave me 7 short years, what a blessing to have known her, and be apart of her. I only hope that I can honor Christ the way she did.

I love you to heaven and back mom.  See you on the other side.

What if your blessings come through raindrops? What if your healing comes through tears? What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know you're near? And what if trials of this life, are you mercies in disguise? - Laura Story

A Fisherman...

I must give credit to Kase for the inspiration to my blog name.

With two Brandons in the family (Brandon Fisher & Brandon Wilson), Kase realized that something must be done and so, Brandon Fisherman was born and it stuck.

Kase, Knox, Roxie, and soon Hudson, all know Sanda's Brandon, as Fisherman.

I hope that you enjoy reading mine and the fisherman's journey, as much as I hope to enjoy writing about it.
